COLOP continues to expand in Asia
| 08 May, 2017
Austrian stamp manufacturer COLOP, which supplies more than 120 countries, is continuing its expansion with two new offices in China and India with the goal of gaining a firm foothold in the growth market in Asia. In order to optimise supply to the Asian region in future, COLOP is opening offices in the major cities of Mumbai in India and Guangzhou in China.
“The economic upturn in these countries has led us to take this important step,” says CEO Ernst Faber. “Our highly qualified staff, outstanding working conditions and our compliance standards are key factors in our ability to produce high quality stamps for the world market.”
Millions of COLOP products are manufactured almost exclusively in Wels and at a second site in the Czech Republic, with an export rate of over 98 per cent. Europe remains the most important market for COLOP and the company has a total of 11 offices, located in Germany, Great Britain, Sweden, Spain, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Austria. In the last six months it has also taken over its former distributors in Poland and France. However, the Asian market numbers over 4 billion inhabitants in total and is becoming increasingly important for the company due to the booming demand for high quality products in these countries.
