| 01 December, 2017
The 18th edition of the Hong Kong International Stationery Fair will once again be at the forefront of the stationery and office supplies industry, by bringing together leading brands, unrivalled product collections and business ideas. Running from 8 – 11 January 2018 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, the fair will welcome more than 250 exhibitors from 14 countries and regions, including Bangladesh, the Chinese mainland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea, the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, the US and Vietnam. These exhibitors will come together with an estimated over 20,000 trade visitors at the show, in what is expected to be yet another successful edition.
To highlight the latest stationery and office supplies’ trends across the most significant manufacturing hubs and markets in Asia, the 2018 fair will continue to feature a number of international pavilions.
This year, both the Korean and Taiwanese pavilions will occupy a larger exhibition scale compared to the previous edition. The Taiwan Association of Stationery Industries, will climb to 144 sqm of exhibition space and will showcase a number of innovative and user-friendly products such as memo pads, fountain pens, notebooks and others. Meanwhile, the Korean pavilion, which is supported by the Korea Stationery Industry Cooperative, will utilise 126 sqm of exhibition space and is set to demonstrate a full spectrum of trendy and environmentally conscious innovations.
Sustainability and innovation are key elements of the fair’s product collections
Among the renown brands participating at the 2018 fair are Truegrasses Co Ltd from Taiwan who will have on display the Straw Ball Pen, a stationery item made out of natural rice straw and recycled plastics. Elsewhere during the course of the show, Taiwanese exhibitor Art Crystal International Co Ltd will demonstrate their rolling sharp pen knife and another noteworthy innovation at this year’s fair is the Fulltouch Luminous 5-colour Mix Chalk brought by Korean exhibitor Sejong Mall Co Ltd.
Ms Judy Cheung, Deputy General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd, says many more likeminded product developments will be on display at the fair, which reflects consumers’ evolving needs. “With the world’s growing desire to reduce its carbon footprint, there has subsequently been a huge consumer drive for products that offer more sustainability credentials, as well as those which truly demonstrate innovation. For the stationery and office supplies industry, our goal is to demonstrate how this drive can unlock more business opportunities at the Hong Kong International Stationery Fair, and take the show’s participants into the future of stationery production.”
