ACCO Brands posts decrease in sales

ACCO Brands reports that its net sales decreased 5% to $507.3 million from the prior-year period in the third quarter.

ACCO is continuing to broadly execute its strategy of growing its global portfolio of consumer brands, increasing its presence in faster growing geographies and channels and diversifying its customer base. 

During the third quarter, the recently-acquired GOBA business in Mexico, consisting of branded school and craft products, performed well and the company saw sales synergies from the 2017 Esselte acquisition through expanded distribution of ACCO Brands products to the broader Esselte customer base in Europe.
