Srike at BIC's 4 colour pen plant
| 04 January, 2019
Workers at the Bic production site in Vannes, France, were on strike yesterday following the consequences of the company’s decision to offload Bic Sport to Tahe Outdoors.
According to Le Monde, Bic announced 33 redundancies at the site in Vannes, which currently produces 100 million Bic 4 colour pens each year.
With Tahe requiring the production facilities in Vannes and Bic unable to find alternative premises nearby, production is planned to be split between Bizerte, Tunisia and Marne-la-Vallée in France.
