3M announces declines in stationery and office products

3M has announced that third quarter sales for its Consumer division totalled $1.3 billion, up 1.7 percent in U.S. dollars.

Sales grew in home improvement and consumer health care, but declined in stationery and office supplies and home care. Sales grew in EMEA, Latin America/Canada, and the U.S. with declines in Asia Pacific.

“The 3M team delivered strong operational performance in the third quarter,” said Mike Roman, 3M chairman and chief executive officer. “While the macroeconomic environment remains challenging, we executed well and built on the progress we made in the second quarter.”
