Steimatzky adds office supplies to 70 stores

Bookseller Steimatzky Group is looking to obtain 20% of the Israeli office supply market after rolling out sales points for office products at 70 of its 133 stores, according to Globes online Israel business news.

"The regular office supplies market amounts to NIS 200 million (€42 million), the back-to-school market is another NIS 250 million (€52 million), and the institutional market is NIS 800 million (€167 million). We want to be a player in a NIS 200 million market," Globes reports Steimatzky CEO Iris Barel as saying.

"We have a better deployment than any other party in the sector. We hope to take 20% of the market within a few years, i.e. NIS 40 million (€8 million) in sales."
